The Manosphere: Understanding and Countering Online Misogyny - SDG Media Zone, 80th Session of the UN General Assembly

The manosphere – an online network of men's rights activists, incels, and other misogynist groups – poses a growing global threat. By spreading disinformation and normalizing gender-based violence, its influence extends from digital spaces to offline harms, from harassment to femicide. This panel will examine how the manosphere undermines gender equality, drawing on perspectives from Latin America, Africa and global research.
